The course overview will prepare students to take the FEMA online certification test for IS 100HC, IS 200HC, and IS 700. The course will cover the following:
- Learn the core concepts and principles of the Incident Command System (ICS)
- Understand the importance and application of ICS in the hospital and healthcare system
- Learn the components of the National Incident Management System. Classes will be held in the computer lab so students may take the online tests for FEMA certification with guidance from the instructors.
Prior to the course, students must obtain a FEMA Student Identification Number from https://cdp.dhs.gov/FEMASID. Click on Register for a FEMA SID. Be sure to write down the number and bring to the course.
